Use: 
Activated charcoal, or activated carbon, can sometimes help prevent certain poisons from being absorbed into the horse's body. It is administered orally, and may require several doses of treatment if poisoning is severe. The main toxins that activated charcoal may be able to help prevent absorption of are many types of insecticides, pesticides, mercury, lead, inorganic arsenic, and chemotherapeutic agents) from the gastrointestinal tract. The typical dosage for an adult horse is 0.5-1.65 g/kg given orally.
