Methocarbamol

Use: 
Methocarbamol (100 mg/ml) is used as a central muscle relaxant as it reduces muscle spasms in horses. It is also sometimes used for treatment of tetanus. It is a skeletal muscle antispasmotic. It depresses multisynaptic pathways in the spinal chord without interfering with muscle function. It is used to treat poisonings resulting from permethrin, metaldehyde, strychnine, tetanus (Clostridium), snakeroot (Eupatorium), tremorgenic mycotoxins (Acremonium), ergot alkaloids (Claviceps), and penicillium molds (Penicillium).

Dosage: 25-75 mg/kg, PO, q12h;5-55 mg/kg, IV slow, q6h
