From its inception in 1972 by founder Dr. James Steere, Artaurus has always strived to provide top medical care and services to our equine patients with exceptional personal service to their owners, sponsors and trainers. Graduating from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and earning the Lloyd’s of London award for most distinguished equine student, Dr. Robert Steere joined his dad’s practice in 1995 after working in Southern California for several years in a busy ambulatory practice. In 2000, Dr. Robert bought his dad’s practice and in 2007 built a new clinic at it’s current location on Skillman Lane in Petaluma.
