Aric Adams , DVM, DACVS
Dr. Aric R. Adams is an Owner/Partner at the Equine Medical Center of Ocala in Florida. was a farrier for 8 years while obtaining his undergraduate and veterinary degrees. After graduation from veterinary college, he completed an internship at an equine hospital in Colorado. Dr. Adams then practiced for 1 year at an equine hospital in Utah, before moving to Florida to begin his surgical training. He completed his surgical residency at the University of Florida in 2005.
Corey Miller , DVM, MS, DACT
Dr. Miller is an Owner/Partner at the Equine Medical Center of Ocala in Florida. Originally form Bellefonte, PA, Dr. Miller graduated from the University of Tennessee’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. He completed a one-year internship at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. In 1998, he completed a three-year residency and Master’s program at Texas A&M University in Equine Reproduction. After his residency he briefly managed an exclusively equine reproductive practice in Oregon before moving to Ocala to work with Dr. Peloso in founding the Equine Medical Center of Ocala.
Frederick Benker , DVM
Dr. Benker worked as a farrier and showed Quarter Horses for the public while obtaining his Veterinary degree. After graduation he moved to Noblesville, IN and started Benker Veterinary clinic and Benker Equine Center where they stood several stallions and bred 500-800 mares per year. In 2000, he sold the Indiana practice and moved to a farm he had previously purchased in Morriston, FL. In 2001, he started a solo practice concentrating on reproduction and Quarter Horse show horses.
John Peloso , DVM, MS, DACVS
Dr. John Peloso is the Owner/Partner and Board-Certified Surgeon at the Equine Medical Center of Ocala in Florida. Dr. Peloso worked for two years at a standardbred racetrack practice in Ontario, Canada after finishing veterinary college. In 1992, he completed the three-year residency and Masters program in equine surgery at Michigan State University. He was a staff surgeon at Texas A&M University from 1992-1995 and then returned to private practice for 3 years as a surgeon in Louisville, Kentucky. In October 1998, Dr. Peloso moved to Ocala and is a founding partner in the Equine Medical Center of Ocala.
Justin Phillips , DVM
Dr. Justin Phillips grew up working with both Standardbred racehorses as well as Hunters & Jumpers in south Florida. Prior to veterinary school he worked in Marion County with Thoroughbreds’ in training and broodmares. After receiving both his Bachelor’s degree and Doctorate from the University of Florida he completed an internship with Equine Medical Center of Ocala. He has rejoined us at EMCO as an ambulatory associate with an interest in both lameness and reproduction
Keely Sullivan , DVM
Dr. Keely Sullivan was born and raised in Charleston, West Virginia. She grew up riding and showing American Saddlebreds. She attended Marshall University for her Bachelor of Science degree and the University of Georgia for her DVM. Her primary veterinary interests include imaging and lameness in the performance horse
Patrick Worden , DVM
Dr. Worden is an Owner/Partner at the Equine Medical Center of Ocala in Florida. Dr. Worden was born in Tennessee, grew up in Colorado and graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. He completed an internship at Las Colinas Veterinary Hospital in Texas, a referral hospital specializing in surgery and lameness. In 2000 he moved to Miami and was employed by Tiegland, Franklin, Brokken, PA, a large racetrack practice servicing Hialeah Park, Gulfstream Park, Calder Racecourse, Delaware Park, etc. In February of 2003, Patrick moved to Ocala and joined the Equine Medical Center of Ocala. Dr. Worden is an ambulatory associate and deals with mostly training horses and sale horses.
Tiffany Hall , DVM, DACVIM, DACVECC
Dr. Tiffany Hall graduated from North Carolina State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. After completing a rotating one-year internship, was accepted into a 3 year Medicine Residency at the University of California, Davis and earned her board certification as a specialist in Internal Medicine (Diplomate ACVIM) in 2010. She then moved to Texas to work for Brazos Valley Equine Hospital as a board-certified Internal Medicine Specialist. Since joining EMCO in January 2013, Dr. Hall successfully passed the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care boards. She is the only equine veterinarian in the State of Florida that is double boarded in Internal Medicine (Diplomate ACVIM) and Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (Diplomate ACVECC).
