Polysulfated glycosaminoglycans (PSGAGs), sold under the brand name Adequan, is an injectable drug which consists of a mixture of glycosaminoglycans, which is a compound found in the extracellular matrix of articular cartilage. PSGAGs are used in the management of degenerative joint disease in horses (and dogs). The drug is administered intramuscularly (IM) in horses on a recurring basis.

Dosage: 500 mg, IM q4d, for 28 days. 250 mg, IA, q7d, for 5 weeks.
