- Ranitidine is a type of histamine-2 blocker that reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach. It is used to treat and prevent ulcers in the stomach and intestines in horses.
Dosage: 6.6-11.3 mg/kg, PO, q8 - 12h, 1.3-1.5 mg/kg, IV q8 to 12h
